After years of working in the operating room and later as a full-time Allied Health instructor, I quickly became aware of the vast waste in our medical facilities and the need for relevant and affordable supplies for instruction. Here the idea was born to rescue medical discards destined for the landfill while stretching dollars for hospital-grade training and simulation supplies. EarthSmart is motivated by reducing needless waste and providing quality training materials for students in healthcare. Saving money while training others to save lives, and helping preserve our planet is a win all the way around—it’s EarthSmart!
